Papa's Birthday

Today was Daniel's birthday. The boys made papa a great card. Each boy wrote him a special message along with some unique decorations like Star Wars and super hero stickers. Mateo came up with a great birthday present idea. He said: "guys, we need to treat papa with breakfast in bed. We can cook some eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and milk". I said alright. I knew we needed to wake up early before Papa since the boys had to go to school.

Well, the boys got up early and when I got to the kitchen they were already there waiting for my instructions. Mateo cooked the eggs, sausage and bacon with a little assistance from me. Lucas and Anthony took care of the toast...except, that Anthony forgot to get out the last two toasts, and the smoke detectors went off. This creepy lady's recorded voice was saying: fire, fire, fire and woke papa up. He was scared and ran downstairs yelling if everyone was okay. Nice way to wake up papa, Anthony!....After I let the smoke out by opening the doors, the noise stopped. We sang happy birthday to papa. He read his birthday card and loved it. Now the boys want to start this tradition every time someone has a birthday. They did it for me last Mother's Day and now to papa today. They loved it.

For lunch Daniel and I went out to eat. He wanted Bandanas BBQ. He had some ribs, pork, and beef...it was heaven for him. I enjoyed the ribs, too. They were so good. He also got a cool blue bandana as a gift. Then when the boys got home from school, Mateo played the happy birthday song on the piano. We had a brownie ice-cream cake that papa picked out and he opened his presents. He got a confederate sword from the Civil War, a cologne named Escape by Calvin Klein and the John Bytheway talk collection. I think papa had a very special birthday. We love you papa!!!
