Working In The Basement

We had to clean up and made a room for the boys to have an area to play while the basement is being finished. They had to wait two and a half months for this to happen. We finally cleaned it two weeks ago. We had a toy -throw-away -party. They had so many toys that wouldn't fit there, plus some of them were broken, and others were baby toys. So they picked what they wanted to keep. We ended up with four big trash bags full of toys to throw away. How exciting for me!!

Daniel has been working in the basement since the beginning of March of this year. He's finally done with the framing. That was a lot of work, and wood. Everyday, he would get home from work, and worked a couple of hours, if he was not too tired from his regular job. He's done such a great job in the basement considering that he's never done most of this before. He's also done all this by himself. Now, he gets to move on, and do his favorite part: the electric. That won't take him that long. After that, insulation and drywall. We're hoping to finish the basement by the end of this year. The basement is going to have a full bathroom, a bedroom with a walk-in closet, a media room, and a small foyer. My job is to paint and decorate it all except for Daniel's media room. That's his territory, for his swords, heroscape figures, and whatever he wants to put there.
