It has been ten years since Daniel and I got married. A lot of growing has happened in our relationship since then. A lot of adjusting and sacrifices on both of our parts and many many wonderful moments. Along with the years adding up, we have three wonderful boys who remind us everyday of our love and all the things we have gone through together. It hasn't been easy at all, especially for me, who came from a different culture, but he has helped me make it through. I do treasure all these wonderful ten years that I have lived with Daniel and all the love we have shared. I know there are many more years ahead of us to enjoy together and to learn from each other for eternity. I know that the only place we can find strength and guidance to keep those sacred covenants we made when we got married is in the temple. It is our goal to go there together as often as we can to find the answers and receive the help we so desperately need in times when we don't know what to do.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary by going to the temple and doing an endowment session together. My visiting teacher, Sarahi, watched Lucas for us since on Fridays he doesn't have preschool. After that, we had lunch at Chili's with Lucas. The next day, we also had a date. We went to the movies and saw Percy Jackson: The Lighting Thief. After that, we went to eat to a Mexican restaurant, Daniel's choice, and had great Fajitas. I have to thank my wonderful friend Brandi for volunteering to watch my boys so we wouldn't have to pay a sitter. Daniel gave a great present. He wrote a poem from his heart which I won't share with you because it is too personal. He knows I love these kinds of things and he tries to do them for me and for that I love him more.
