Mateo's 7th Birthday!!

Finally the day arrived!! Mateo has been waiting the whole year for his birthday. Since Anthony and he were born in the same month and so close in date, they kind of celebrate their birthdays together. First it's all about Anthony, and then four days after, it's all about Mateo.

Last night, I decorated the kitchen again with all the birthday stuff. I put all his presents on the table so he can get excited about opening them. We always wait for Papa to get home from work to start the party. While waiting for Papa, I took Mateo to pick his birthday cake. The bakery already had some kids birthday cakes already made. Mateo picked a race car cake. Lucas was really upset because it was not his birthday, and he didn't get to pick a cake. It has been really hard for him to go through two birthdays in a row and not have his own. I keep telling that the next one is his. That seems to help him a little.

Here's Papa putting together Mateo's legos. This toy has about a thousand pieces. Papa spent like two hours putting it together. Here's the final product!! Awesome. Let's see how long it lasts. After opening all the presents, we headed to ChuckECheese'S. That was Mateo's choice. We had pizza, played lots of games, took pictures, and had fun.

I just can't believe how big my boys are getting. The other day, I was watching some home videos when Mateo was a year old. It just seemed like it was yesterday. I get sad and helpless to the fact that I can't stop them from growing and being my babies, even though they'll always be my babies. Sometimes at nights, when I put them in bed, they like me to sing to them their baby songs I made for them when they were born. One of them goes: "yo tengo un ninito muy especial, el nino de la mama, que vamos hacer, con ese ninito, tan especial..."

I'm just grateful that I get to be with them and teach them. I get to be in every special moment of their lives.

Te quiero muchisimo mis bebes, Mateo, Anthony y Lucas.
