My Three Big Helpers!

Every Thursday I buy my groceries for the week, and since Loli left and I don't have anybody to watch my boys, so I took them with me. They were so excited to go grocery shopping because they were going to be my helpers. I told them what the rules were if they wanted to go, (no asking for toys or candy, staying with me, no fighting, etc). They really helped me! They each got a bag and bagged the vegetables I told them.Since this store doesn't bag your groceries, I let them bag them for me. Mateo and Anthony got a kick out of the little button on the side of the register line that you push to get your groceries move closer to you. They were doing their best. When they were almost finished bagging, the cashier, who was not very friendly from the beginning, started to put the groceries of another customer on my side. She said in an unkind voice, "excuse me". I hurried and helped them finish bagging the rest of the groceries that were left. While leaving the store, I was not very happy about that mean cashier and was mad at myself for not saying something to her. I could have said something like this, "don't you see we're still bagging. You're going to have to wait until we're done." I guess she thought my boys were playing around and not really bagging. Anyway, this is just one of those instants when I should have spoken up. By this is not the end of the story, when I got home, and checking my receipt, I realized she had charged me for six boxes of cereal instead of four. I was so mad at her. I went to the store to get reimbursed and complained about her with the store manager. That made me feel much better.
Overall it was a good experience with my three big helpers, and I'm just enjoying them before they start school.
